Mat/Consult Coordinator Essential Functions
- The MAT/Consult Coordinator maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients receiving specialized care. This involves documenting medical histories, test results, treatment plans, and communication with external healthcare providers.
- The MAT/Consult Coordinator maintains detailed records to ensure continuity of care and compliance with medical protocols.
- The MAT/Consult Coordinator collaborates with other members of the medical team, including registered nurses, physicians, and mental health professionals, to provide comprehensive healthcare services to inmates.
- Alongside clinical duties, The MAT/Consult Coordinator may have administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and coordinating with external healthcare providers.
- The MAT/Consult Coordinator acts as a liaison between the correctional facility's medical team and external healthcare providers. They communicate medical needs, coordinate information exchange, and ensure seamless collaboration for patients' medical care.
- Accurate documentation of all medical interactions, assessments, treatments, and interventions is essential.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Licensure as a LPN in the state of employment.
- Possesses an active CPR certification.
- Remains knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice.
- Satisfactory completion of initial and annual clinical competencies to demonstrate aptitude as assigned by role.
- At least two years of experience in a drug or alcohol treatment program.
- Knowledge of opioid addiction treatment medication including methadone, buprenorphine, Vivitrol, and other opiate treatment medications.
