The Area Vice President of Sales (AVP Sales) is a senior sales position responsible for driving sales growth within a defined geographic region or market segment. This hands-on position combines strategic sales leadership with operational execution. The AVP of Sales will be an individual contributor within the organization developing and implementing sales strategies, build relationships with key clients, and oversee day-to-day sales operations. This position will be a critical role in shaping the overall business growth of the company.
This is an exempt position reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer.
Key Responsibilities :
Sales Strategy and Execution :
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies for the region, aligned with corporate objectives and market opportunities.
- Lead the execution of regional sales initiatives to increase market share to drive revenue growth.
- Continuously evaluate regional market conditions and customer needs to adapt and refine the sales approach.
Revenue Generation and Business Growth
Achieve regional sales targets, including both new customer acquisition and the expansion of existing customer accounts.Identify new business opportunities and market trends, building strong relationships with key customers and partners.Ensure the region’s sales pipeline is well-managed, and sales forecasts are accurate.Customer Relationship Management :
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to drive customer retention and satisfaction.Resolve any customer issues or challenges in a timely and effective manner, ensuring a positive experience with the company.Collaborate with the customer success team and implementation team to ensure seamless delivery and post-sale satisfaction.Sales Performance and Reporting :
Working with the CRO, establish clear sales targets and KPIs for the region, tracking progress toward goals.Monitor sales performance metrics, adjusting strategies and tactics as needed to stay on track and meet objectives.Report on sales performance, market trends, and other key metrics to senior management, providing regular updates and insights.Consistently update CRM to reflect current sales pipeline, customer details, and activities.Collaboration and Cross-functional Engagement :
Work closely with marketing, VP of Channel Managment, product development, and other departments to ensure alignment of regional sales activities with corporate marketing campaigns, product launches, and overall business strategies.Share market intelligence and customer feedback with relevant teams to inform product development and marketing strategies.Collaborate with the operations and customer success teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding, implementation, and support.Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis :
Stay informed about regional market conditions, competitive activity, and customer needs.Leverage market data to identify trends, uncover growth opportunities, and understand competitive threats.Use insights to refine sales tactics, identify new opportunities, and improve sales processes.Compliance and Best Practices :
Ensure all sales activities comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.Establish and promote sales best practices, ensuring consistency in the sales process across the region.Qualifications : Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).Registered Nurse (RN) license is highly preferredExperience :
A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales. 5 years in a sales leadership role is a bonus.Demonstrated success in growing sales revenue and building customer relationships.Nursing leadership experience (desirable but not required)Experience in healthcare industry selling SAAS based solutions is required.Residential Location :
