- Conduct comprehensive onsite psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for inmates referred by medical and clinical services staff.
- Prepare detailed written summaries of patient histories, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Provide psychiatric consultation, diagnosis, and treatment planning for all assigned inmates.
- Manage medication regimens for all inmates under care.
- Approve, sign, and monitor the implementation of treatment plans.
Requirements:
- Must be a graduate of medical school with completion of an accredited psychiatric residency program.
- Hold a valid license to practice medicine in the state of Michigan and certification from the Office of Behavioral Health to provide psychiatric services in a licensed inpatient unit.
- Current DEA registration.
