What are the responsibilities and job description for the Correctional Medicine Specialist position at VitalCore Health Strategies?
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Director / Physician to join our team at VitalCore Health Strategies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing overall supervision for clinical services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical care to patients.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in sub-acute inpatient care and hospitalist medicine, with experience in managing referrals to outside healthcare facilities. They will also be responsible for sponsoring Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners, representing the healthcare program in discussions with local civic groups, and participating in in-service training classes.
The Medical Director / Physician will be responsible for completing sick call, chronic care, and infirmary care as required. They will document all encounters in patient records, adhere to approved formularies, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
