Position Summary:
The Mental Health Professional will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team on the Behavioral Health Unit to provide proactive and patient-centered care.
Essential Functions:
- Provide crisis stabilization, complete intakes and ongoing evaluations, and offer consultation to in-house and community services.
- Participate in monthly behavioral health calls and work collaboratively with the medical team to determine overall treatment for each individual.
- Perform risk assessment of inmates, coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, and develop discharge plans.
- Assist in planning and implementing program goals and objectives.
- Prepare necessary documentation, records, and reports.
- Utilize clinical skills such as prioritizing treatment needs, crisis management, brief clinical interventions including CBT and Motivational Interviewing.
- Maintain excellent and timely documentation skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a Licensed, Master's Level Behavioral Health Clinician with an LCSW who can administer assessments, make clinical decisions, and provide mental health treatment.
- Hold one of the following licenses: LCSW, LPC, or equivalent.
- Graduation from a Master's level program.
- Minimum of one year employment in a social work capacity in a public or private agency or equivalent.
- Pass a satisfactory background investigation report.
