POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Mental Health monitors all aspects of mental healthcare services in a designated region or contract. While reporting to the Chief Medica; Officer, this position has the authority, responsibility, and accountability for effecting and monitoring compliance of mental health services with applicable Federal, State, and local regulations, state, or jail contract requirements, and ACA / NCCHC standards. This position coordinates effective administrative guidance and support to site mental health staff and support of regional management. Attends meetings as requested by regional and local administration, assist with the onboarding and training materials for mental health processes and workflows, assist in the development and delivery of mental health related training to DOC staff.
