Job Summary: As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN). Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient health, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all residents or patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and observations.
• Ensure patient safety by adhering to infection control protocols and reporting any changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to implement and follow care plans.
• Respond to patient calls and needs promptly and with empathy.
• Assist with basic medical procedures and administer medications as directed by the RN or LPN.

Qualifications:

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of New Jersey.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a CNA in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of others.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Ability to lift, move, and assist patients as required.

Working Conditions:

• May require standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and/or move patients, with assistance if necessary.
• Exposure to potential hazards typical in a healthcare environment, with appropriate safety measures in place.
