What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vigil Volunteering - Greater NJ Shore Area position at Vitality Hospice and Palliative Care?
Hospice is a special kind of care, designed to support people at the end of their life, as well as to their loved ones, who will be the most impacted when they are gone.
Volunteers provide the meaningful extras that can be vital to those who need it. Volunteers, in essence, give their time to be with others, so they don't have to be alone, as they travel on their final months, weeks, hours and into the great unknown.
If you are a patient person, who understands the power of presence, please consider volunteering your time to help our patients. Volunteering, especially Vigil Volunteering can happen any day of the week, and almost at any time. If you have a couple of hours a week to give to a stranger who is dying, so hey don’t have to be alone, please respond to this post.
Our Wall, NJ office is the hub of care brought to those on our service in Middlesex, Monmouth and Ocean Counties... So, we need Volunteers throughout that area, but as a Volunteer, you will only go where you are comfortable traveling to!
Many religious groups preach about the benefits to administering to the sick. Many Hospice Volunteers who do it for a while often say that they get more out of it than they give.
If you have an inclination towards this way of giving back, please reply to this post, this way the Volunteer Coordinator can send you more information about the onboarding process.
To be clear this is a VOLUNTEER opportunity.
