JOB TITLE: OFFICE RECEPTIONIST

JOB SUMMARY:
The Receptionist is one of the most important positions in the facilities and is most often the first contact with the public. The Receptionist gives the first impression of our professional services and the Company. It is vital that the first impression is positive. The ability to multitask with walk-in appointments, answering telephones and fielding calls, assisting clinician and consumers with scheduling appointments in a complex, confidential and active setting, is a necessary skill.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Answer telephones, direct calls and take messages.
· Greet and assist consumers.
· Schedule and coordinate patient appointments to optimize client satisfaction and facility efficiency.
· Create and update consumer's electronic health records.
· Record and update personal and financial information.
· Enter and contact referrals from medical providers.
· Verify consumer insurance.
· Maintain total confidentiality of personal and financial data.
· Maintain filing systems.
· NOMS distribution
· Copy, collect and distribute office paperwork as directed, and when requested.
· Open, sort and route incoming mail, answer correspondence, and prepare outgoing mail.
· Troubleshoot problems involving office equipment, and report to Office Coordinator.
· All other duties requested by CCBHC supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Excellent typing, computer, and speed writing skills. Must have knowledge of office
procedures. Detail-oriented, organized, computer proficient, excellent oral and written skills, file management, and multi-tasking skills. Must work well independently and cooperatively with staff, maintaining confidentiality. Grace under pressure. Excellent telephone techniques and public relations skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to sit for long periods of time at a desk. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs., or a case of paper.
WORK CONDITIONS
Regular scheduled hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. May work additional hours or varied schedule when workload requires.
EDUCATION:
Graduation from High School, or GED.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
