As a Field Service Specialist (Regional) , you will be responsible for providing exceptional on-site support, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our respiratory diagnostic equipment across the Pittsburgh territory. This role will also require management of the surrounding areas (Western New York, Ohio Central to Eastern Pennsylvania).
You will work directly with healthcare providers, including secondary care hospitals and GP asthma networks, ensuring that our products operate at peak performance. Your technical expertise and customer-centric approach will be vital in enhancing customer satisfaction and maintaining the integrity of our diagnostic solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Equipment Installation and Calibration : Perform installation, calibration, and setup of respiratory diagnostic equipment at customer sites, ensuring compliance with operational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting : Conduct routine maintenance and repair services on equipment, diagnosing issues effectively and implementing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
- Customer Support : Act as the primary point of contact for customers within your region, addressing inquiries, providing technical support, and offering training on equipment usage and best practices.
- Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate records of service activities, including service reports, installation documentation, and inventory management, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accessible.
- Collaboration with Teams : Work closely with the service management, sales, and technical support teams to identify customer needs and communicate product updates, service issues, and feedback.
- Quality Assurance : Ensure all service activities comply with company policies and industry standards, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the service organization.
- Education : Associate or Bachelor's degree in engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related technical field preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., Biomedical Equipment Technician) are a plus.
- Experience :
- 3-5 years of experience in field service engineering or technical support within the medical technology or healthcare sector.
- Familiarity with respiratory diagnostic equipment is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills :
- Strong troubleshooting skills for electronic and mechanical devices, with the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
