Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner The Dermatology Center (New Albany, IN)
We are looking for a motivated physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join The Dermatology Center in New Albany, IN, a VitalSkin affiliate. This position will practice 32 clinical hours per week (four days total) in New Albany.

About the Position

Alongside the supervising physician and their highly trained team, youll assist with providing general dermatology services to a growing patient population. Youll work in a state-of-the-art practice using Modernizing Medicine (ModMed), a top-ranked, specialty-specific EHR and engagement tool.

Specific Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of general dermatology procedures under physician supervision.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions to the supervising physician.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare personnel while ensuring confidentiality of patient information.
- Demonstrate proficiency and graduated autonomy within the scope of general dermatology practice over several months.
- Accurately record patient health history in the electronic medical record system.
Minimum Qualifications
- Masters degree from an accredited PA program OR
- If an NP: Must be a registered nurse (RN), hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), have completed an NP-focused graduate masters or doctoral program, and have successfully passed a national NP board certification exam.
- Minimum of two years of dermatology experience.
- Active PA/NP licensure in the state of employment.
- Prescriptive authorization is required.
- Proficiency with medical instruments and dermatology-specific equipment.
- Ability to effectively communicate with medical professionals, patients, and community representatives.
- Understanding of federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
- Positive, open, and flexible approach to learning new dermatology procedures.
- Commitment to ongoing continuing medical education (CME) to maintain licensure.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and working at a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs at times.
