Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client
Required:
• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
• A minimum of 7 years of IT work experience with a broad range of exposure to all aspects of business planning, systems analysis and applications development. An advanced degree can substitute for one (1) year of IT work experience.
• Experience managing the development and delivery of IT security standards, best practices, architecture and systems to ensure information system security across the enterprise.
• Experience implementing processes and methods for auditing and addressing non-compliance to information security standards; facilitates migration of non-compliant environments to compliant environments.
• Experience conducting studies within and outside the organization to ensure compliance with standards and currency with industry security norms.
• Experience managing and participating in the planning and implementation of security administration for all IT projects.
• Experience assisting in the implementation of changes to work methods and procedures to make them more effective or to strengthen security measures.
Preferred:
• Knowledge Transfer and Documentation: Ability to prepare and deliver detailed technical documentation, ensuring the transfer of knowledge to internal teams.
• Experience with State or Government Security Standards: Familiarity with managing security projects for state or similar governmental organizations.
• Relevant Certifications: Security certifications like CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are advantageous.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Manage the development and delivery of IT security standards, ensuring adherence to industry norms and enhancing organizational security.
• Conduct audits to address non-compliance issues and oversee migrations to compliant environments.
• Lead security administration efforts for IT projects, ensuring secure implementations.
• Analyze and adapt work methods to improve security processes and organizational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify risks, develop solutions, and maintain compliance.
• Document and deliver technical security strategies, plans, and processes to facilitate organizational knowledge transfer.
• Track and report project statuses, risks, and compliance to ensure timely delivery and resolution of issues.
