12275 - Lead Project Estimator (onsite) - Juno Beach, FL

Start Date : ASAP

Type : Temporary Project

Estimated Duration : 12 months with possible extensions.

Work Setting : 100% of the time at the Client's site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client

Required :

  • Experience as a Project Estimator within field engineering, and construction management (7 years);
  • Estimating or construction experience on large, heavy civil projects in the power market sector

Preferred :

  • Experience in renewables or transmission projects;
  • Field Experience (5 years);
  • Bachelor's Degree in the following Fields of Study : Mechanical or Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management.

    • Responsibilities :

  • Prepare capital cost estimates
  • Review designs and specifications for cost effectiveness and suggest alternatives, when appropriate
  • Coordinate with other departments, ensuring understanding of project objectives and efficient utilization of resources
  • Reviews layouts, designs and specifications for cost effectiveness and suggests alternatives, when appropriate
  • Remain current with technology and industry evolution, assuring that capital estimates anticipate the correct market conditions
  • Establish, build and implement metrics for cost and construction estimate checks
  • Mentor and develops junior members of the team
