Summary:
The Field Transportation Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of transportation operations within a designated area. This includes overseeing driving activities, ensuring on-time deliveries, and maintaining a safe and efficient transportation environment.

Tuesday to Friday – Must be flexible, can start as early as 2:00 AM or late as 10:00 AM.
Saturday – 11:00 AM – Closing
Responsibilities:
Driver Supervision:
- Directly supervise and mentor assigned drivers.
- Monitor driver performance, including adherence to schedules, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct driver safety checks and inspections.
- Address driver concerns and resolve any issues promptly.
- Provide coaching and feedback to drivers to improve performance.
Operational Oversight:
- Monitor daily delivery routes and schedules.
- Respond to and resolve any operational challenges, such as delays, traffic congestion, or equipment issues.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of driver activities, deliveries, and any incidents.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure driver compliance with all safety regulations, including DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Investigate and report any accidents or incidents.
- Promote a strong safety culture among drivers.
Customer Service:
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Address customer concerns and resolve any transportation-related issues.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure equipment is in good working order and meets safety standards.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of freight as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or a related field. Experience as a commercial truck driver is a plus.
- DL: CDL A
Required Skills:
- Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods and procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
- Ability to openly and effectively communicate with all associates/departments within the company.
- Strong understanding of DOT, inventory control, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
- Knowledge with the following programs:
- TARGET data system (WMS),
- BFC (WMS) – routing and pallet building
- Descartes - Routing Software
- Geotab - fleet management and ELD (HOS)
- Driver Scanning Devices
- Samba Safety
- Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
Physical Requirements:
- Required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 lbs.

- Fast paced and demanding environment.
- Requires flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances.
- May involve occasional travel.
