Position Summary

Vitense Golfland is looking for a friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused Facility Host to create a welcoming experience for our guests. This individual will be responsible for greeting customers as they arrive, managing the range waitlist, directing guests to the correct areas, answering questions about our facility, and running the merchandise table. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills, and enjoys interacting with guests.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Services & Facility Greeting

• Warmly welcome guests as they enter the facility, creating a positive first impression.
• Provide helpful information about Vitense Golfland’s attractions, activities, pricing, and policies.
• Direct guests to the appropriate areas, including the driving range, mini-golf, restaurant, Par-3, event spaces, and merchandise table.
• Answer questions and assist guests with special requests, such as event reservations or group accommodations.

Managing the Range Waitlist

• Utilize iPad software to maintain an organized system for guests waiting for a driving range bay.
• Provide accurate wait-time estimates and notify guests when a bay is available.
• Communicate with staff across all areas to ensure efficient guest flow.
• Assist guests with bay availability and directions
• Communicate with staff regarding prepaid reservations on the Range and greeting guests as they arrive

Merchandise Table & Retail Sales

• Set up and maintain an organized, visually appealing merchandise display.
• Assist customers in selecting and purchasing merchandise, such as golf accessories, apparel, and souvenirs.
• Process sales transactions quickly and accurately using the Toast point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Keep inventory stocked and notify management of low-stock items.

Facility Awareness & Cleanliness

• Keep the entrance, merchandise area, and guest waiting areas tidy and inviting.
• Ensure merchandise displays are well-stocked and organized.
• Monitor the flow of guests and communicate with the team to maintain smooth operations.
• Awareness of all activities going on in the facility

Qualifications & Skills

• Outgoing, friendly personality with a strong focus on customer service.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to engage with guests of all ages.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable handling cash and using a POS system and an iPad (training provided).
• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or retail is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Comfortable working in an indoor/outdoor environment in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to walk and move quickly to assist guests.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. for stocking merchandise.
