What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct - Human Anatomy position at Viterbo University?
Viterbo University is seeking a part-time adjunct instructor to teach upper-division Human Anatomy lecture and lab during the fall semester of 2023.
Course Description: Three hours of lecture/three hours of lab per week. Human Anatomy is a junior/senior level course that provides an introduction to human gross anatomy. The major body systems will be covered during the lecture. The lab will focus on anatomical structure with the cat as our model. Additionally, human models and bones will be used to achieve an understanding of human structure.
This course is taught in face-to-face or blended format.
Applicants should upload a cover letter indicating their area of discipline along with a current vita. If recommended for a position, official transcripts will be required prior to a contract being issued.
Minimum Academic Qualifications: The expectation is that individuals who teach at the undergraduate level will typically hold a master's or higher in the discipline or subfield in which they teach.
Minimum Professional Experience: For individuals who hold a master's degree in a related field and do not have 18 credits directly in the subfield they will be teaching in or a master's in an unrelated field, candidates may meet academic qualifications through recent professional experience and expertise (work experience, publications, licensure, presentations, or equivalent within the last five years). Must be authorized to work in the United States. Viterbo University is unable to sponsor or take over the sponsorship of the employment Visa.
