Vitol BioMethane, LLC (VBM) is looking for an Environmental Compliance Specialist for our Landfill Gas to Energy (LFGTE) projects located throughout the country. This full-time salaried position is based out of our Irving, TX office, working Monday through Friday with occasional weekends and travel (as needed). To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.

Position Summary:
- Responsible for ensuring the landfill gas collection and control systems (GCCS) and the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) plants are permitted, constructed and operated in compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Compile and review data to ensure all regulatory permits and requirements are followed.
- Recordkeeping of all pertinent data and reports.
- Work in close coordination with engineering staff, managers, operations staff, and engineering consultants for reporting and timelines.
- Scheduling environmental compliance sampling and/or testing as well as sampling/testing for contractual purposes.
- Monthly gas reporting with the appropriate state agency.
- Assisting in various project, operations, and construction related regulatory tasks as assigned.
- Effectively communicating with engineering, operations, and managers.
- Most of the work will be based out of the Irving, Texas office. Some travel may be required (approximately 10% -15%) to visit sites and/or other offices.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Environmental Science from an accredited University
- Two or more years of industry experience, with a preference for Landfill Gas or plant experience
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to use Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of environmental monitoring, sampling, and testing
- Ability to organize, plan, and coordinate projects
- Enthusiastic and able to work well with others in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of landfill gas and renewable natural gas plant environmental regulations and procedures
- Maintain a current and valid Driver's License
