Job Summary
This role involves working as an Electronics Engineering Technician to troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment. Key responsibilities include using schematics, oscilloscopes, and other tools to identify and fix issues at the component level.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot PCB assemblies using electrical theory and testing equipment
- Perform final assembly, testing, and calibration of Electrical Test & Measurement equipment
- Repair and test customer units returned for service
- Maintain production documentation, including repair database and inventory management
- Communicate with customers regarding equipment performance and application assistance
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic theory
- Experience reading schematics and troubleshooting systems and circuit assemblies
- Familiarity with standard manufacturing processes and software applications
- Skilled in using multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical test equipment
- Ability to work overtime as needed to meet company goals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Solid judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to communicate professionally both orally and in writing
Preferred Qualifications
- A 2-year degree in electronics and/or military school
- 2 years of experience reading schematics and troubleshooting systems and circuit assemblies
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting, working on a computer, and performing tests and calibration
- Good eye-hand coordination
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
