Description
The Staff Radiologic Technologist, under the supervision of the Radiologist, is required to perform routine diagnostic procedures including, but not limited to, Trauma Radiography, Portables, Fluoroscopy and Semi-Special Radiographic procedures. The Technologist must exhibit expertise in patient care based on patient’s needs appropriate for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient. The Technologist must utilize good public relations and decision-making skills to incorporate patient education and professionalism and adhere to the commitment of quality. Will be flexible to assist changes in schedule and rotate as needs arise in the department.
General Responsibilities
Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical, or employment status of patients at Bradley Medical Center and their families.
Must follow accepted safety practices for patient and hospital.
Participate in Performance Improvement activities as required by JCAHO.
Qualifications
Education: Associates Degree in Applied Science (Radiology) or two-year equivalent approved educational program in Radiologic Technology as evidenced by verification of ARRT database
Experience: One-year experience is preferred.
Licenses/Certificates: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Tennessee Medical X-Ray Operator license. BLS required.
