The Opportunity
- Optimize Practice Line Performance; Develop operating plans to support the business's plan and top strategic initiatives. Report on successes as well as shortfalls and put into action appropriate recovery plans.
- Build and operate "best in class" practice line management teams across specialties.
- Provide programmatic leadership and input for strategic planning processes within practice lines.
- Synthesize organization strategy to develop annual operations plans at the practice line level.
- Monitor and manage operational performance to achieve BSC goals.
- Advise and assist physician leadership and directors on optimizing clinical and financial performance.
- Implement programs and services to improve site operations.
- Create initiatives to diversify and protect revenue streams.
- Practice Development/Integration.
- Assure effective use of organizational resources.
- Work with Directors to collect and disseminate system and process best practices.
- Research, develop, and pilot strategic programs and services.
- Systematically deploy practice knowledge to encourage standard practice.
- Demonstrate the value proposition of new practice lines.
- Manage Division Resources.
- Collaborate to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives.
- Manage and empower direct reports in maximizing productivity and results.
- Establish and monitor budgets related to the operations teams and practice lines.
- Lead and develop a team responsible for designing and implementing transformative practice lines, programs, and revenue sources. Lead the team by example, creating an environment that fosters collaboration, innovation, continuous process improvement, and performance excellence.
- Maintain Compliance & Quality.
- Assure that practice line program initiatives are focused on providing innovative, cost-effective solutions. In addition, assure these programs are aligned with overall CEP targets and system-wide initiatives.
- Help directors build strong working relationships across CEP and MA to drive program development and implementation as well as effectively utilizing resources across the organization.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train management-level staff in the department.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Establish accountability goals for direct reports.
- Lead, direct, and review the work of team members to accomplish program initiatives, operational plans, and results within schedule and budget.
- Provide primary input to hiring, firing, promotion, performance, and rewards decisions for direct reports including the hiring or firing of employees, in accordance with organization guidelines.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Healthcare Administration or related field AND 10 years of progressive operations management and strategic development required.
- Experience in health care, physician practice management, and multi-location operations OR a combination of education and experience that demonstrates attainment of the required competencies required.
- Master's Degree in Business Administration/Healthcare Administration or related field AND 12 years of progressive operations management and strategic development preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to generate consensus in decisions and encourages creativity and innovation.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively and persuasively at all levels.
- Strong grounding in healthcare management ideally encompassing both hospital-based management experience and physician practice management.
- Proven ability to lead organizational change, including identifying and supporting change agents, demonstrating accountability, and ownership of execution and results.
- Understanding of the physician's clinical, management, and leadership roles in the healthcare environment to assist the physician group clients in developing a competitive advantage in their marketplace.
- Proven ability to design and implement new programs, transform care delivery, and diversify revenue.
- Ability to motivate and develop the potential of others is required.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to bring teams together to develop and implement programs.
- Ability to maximize the effectiveness of teams to provide the highest-level quality of service possible.
