Job Summary
The Diesel Fleet Maintenance Manager will support the process to satisfy customer demands by maintaining trucks and trailers. To constantly oversee shop operation to maintain shop efficacy and cost effectiveness. Will be overseeing Truck Fleet of over 50 vehicles.
Essential Functions
Handle Daily shop operations, P&L, Budgets, Inventory and more.
Manage and lead technicians and maintenance supervisors in the maintenance shop
Provide basic foundation of mechanical knowledge and competency to lead and motivate shop associates
Maintain an on-going preventive maintenance program for location. Identify trends in road calls, break downs; oversee maintenance of the building and other facility on site; control maintenance costs relating to personnel, purchasing, inventory control and outsourcing of repairs.
Knowledge of heavy duty class 8 trucks
Maintain shop area cleanliness and foster a safe working environment; ex : store welding equipment and supplies securely; safeguard service pits; dispose of hazardous materials properly
Interviewing, hiring, training, and holding accountable associates
