Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions and assisting with product inquiries. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude will contribute to a welcoming shopping experience in our grocery store environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for cash handling and transactions.
• Process customer purchases accurately while ensuring a smooth checkout experience.
• Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to provide informed recommendations.
• Conduct product demonstrations to promote new items and enhance customer engagement.
• Assist in stocking shelves and organizing merchandise to ensure the store is well-presented.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and courtesy.
• Uphold high standards of phone etiquette when addressing customer calls or inquiries.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic math skills are essential for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Familiarity with stock management and inventory practices is a plus.
• Strong communication skills are required to effectively interact with customers and team members.
• Experience with product demos or sales techniques will be beneficial in promoting store offerings.
