VIVA Pediatrics is a pediatric home health services agency with a specialty in private duty nursing, skilled nursing visits and therapy for infants and children (ages birth through 20 years of age). MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides quality of patient care in accordance with developed care plan and physician’s orders
- Provides skilled nursing care that conforms with Agency patient care and general medical policies
- Complies will all policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook
- Documents care provided per state and agency requirements
- Responsible to submit documentation of care provided per agency policy
- Responsible for the implementation and evaluation of individual patient plan of care
- Communicates with Supervising Registered Nurse any patient incidents, changes in condition, hospitalizations/ER visits and medication questions
- Facilitates coordination of care within the interdisciplinary team, patient/family and physicians
- Implements and maintains Standard Precautions per agency policy
- Demonstrates use of Proper Body Mechanics
- Responsible for proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws
- Follows all privacy policies and maintains the confidentiality of protected healthcare information (PHI)
- Coordinates schedule with office staff
- Punctual and dependable attendance to assigned shifts
- Works with HR and branch personnel to maintain personnel file up to date
- Meets mandatory continuing education requirements of the agency/licensing board – Nurse license
- Performs other duties as required
Requirements
- Current Texas State Licensure as a Licensed LVN or RN or a Licensed LVN or RN from an approved compact state with the Texas Board of Nursing
- At least 1 year of work experience or 6 months pediatric home health as a licensed RN or LVN
- CPR Certification
- Valid Driver's License
