Job Description:
We are seeking a talented editorial coordinator to join our remote team on a part-time basis. As an editorial coordinator, you will play a key role in managing the editorial process and coordinating the editorial process, including assigning writing tasks, editing content for accuracy and consistency, and ensuring the quality and timeliness of deliverables for various projects and publications.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the editorial team, including writers, editors, and designers, to plan, develop, and execute content strategies for digital and print publications.
Coordinate the editorial calendar, including assigning topics, setting deadlines, and managing workflow to ensure timely delivery of content.
Serve as the main point of contact for contributors, freelance writers, and external partners, providing guidance, feedback, and support throughout the content creation process.
Review and edit written content for clarity, accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines and editorial standards.
Coordinate with designers and other team members to ensure that visual elements, such as images, graphics, and layout, enhance the overall presentation and effectiveness of the content.
Manage content distribution and promotion efforts across various channels, including websites, social media, email newsletters, and third-party platforms.
Monitor and analyze performance metrics, such as website traffic, engagement metrics, and reader feedback, to evaluate the effectiveness of content and identify areas for improvement.
Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in content creation and distribution, and incorporate new ideas and strategies into editorial plans.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an editorial coordinator, content coordinator, or similar role, preferably in a digital media, publishing, or content marketing environment.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality content.
Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment, communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders across different locations and time zones.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), editorial tools, and project management software, such as WordPress, Google Docs, Trello, or Asana.
Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field preferred but not required.
