Description : Industrial Engineer
Responsibility is to support Engineering projects developing technical drawings that help translate engineering and architectural designs into detailed plans used in building products and structures.
Their day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with engineers and other professionals to clarify design specifications, layout updates using AUTOCAD software, place and follow up purchase orders for new tooling and equipment to produce drawings and checking design drawings to verify they’re accurate and meet industry standards.
Requirements and other responsibilities :
Extensive working knowledge of AUTOCAD software, 2D AND 3d, to be able to prepare technical drawings efficiently
Ability to analyze design sketches and specifications to create technical drawings
Strong attention to detail to ensure drawings are accurate according to specifications
Communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with architects, engineers and other professionals
Time management skills to work with multiple projects and competing deadlines
Knowledge of engineering practices and industry standards
Advanced mathematical skills
ability to perform physical measurements to create layouts as required
Coordinate multidisciplinary projects review between departments and other stakeholders
Create and follow up proflem follow up sheets to monitor and guide completion of activities
Experience with manufacturing tools and equipment to be able to support prototype pilot build constructions
Availability to work OT and / or Weekends as required per project deliverables
Knowledge of Ms office to be perform analysis and prepare executive presentations
Previous manufacturing Automotive / Truck Industry experience is a plus
Bilingual English / Spanish is a plus
Reorganization plan of Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing departments into Process Engineering did not include replacement for IE position in charge to perform layout updates, those responsibilities plus tooling and equipment integration where transferred to NPI; activates which were not in the original department scope.
Must Haves :
AUTOCAD Experience (2D and 3D layouts)
Manufacturing Experience (Line balance, PFMEA, process mapping, Standard work, etc.)
Mfg. Tooling and Equipment Installation Experience
Engineering Degree
Looking for at least 3 years of experience and preferably, but not required in Automotive / Truck industry.
Engineering degree is a must and Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing would be strongly preferred
Notes :
Hours : Monday-Friday 7am- 4pm. OT might be required mainly on Fridays but could be some Saturdays as well as required per the projects
