The Director of Real Estate and Facilities is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, acquisition, management, and maintenance of the company’s real estate portfolio and physical facilities. This role ensures efficient operations, compliance with regulations, and alignment with business objectives while optimizing space utilization, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
This is a hybrid position in Greenville, SC. You must be located in the Greenville, SC area. This position is NOT remote. Candidates who are not local must relocate within 3 months of offer.

While no day will be completely the same, you will execute daily responsibilities in these various functions:
Real Estate Management:
- Develop and execute a strategic real estate plan to support business growth, expansion and operational needs.
- Identify, negotiate, and acquire properties for expansion, relocation, or consolidation.
- Oversee lease agreements, renewals, and terminations while managing relationships with landlords, tenants, and brokers.
- Conduct market research and financial analysis to support real estate decisions.
- Ensure compliance with zoning laws, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Primary liaison for contractors and external real estate contacts
Facilities Management:
- Direct all aspects of facilities management, including maintenance, security, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for facility upkeep, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for facilities operations and capital expenditures.
- Assist with workplace safety, compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards, and risk management.
- Manage vendor contracts and service agreements for maintenance, janitorial, security, and other facility-related services.
Workspace Planning & Workplace Strategy:
- Optimize space utilization and workplace design to enhance productivity and employee experience.
- Lead office relocations, renovations, and construction projects from planning to execution.
- Implement best practices for hybrid work environments, technology integration, and workplace safety
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and develop a team of real estate and facilities professionals.
- Work cross-functionally across all business departments to align real estate and facilities with business objectives.
- Present real estate strategies and operational updates to senior leadership.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proven experience presenting and communicating with executive leadership
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Expert technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and assist and train others
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Extremely proficient with Google Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software

Education & Experience
- Prior experience in commercial real estate and facilities management, with leadership experience.
- Proven track record in lease negotiations, property management, and space planning.
- Strong understanding of facilities operations, building systems, and workplace safety.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasting costs, and driving cost-saving initiatives.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Additional Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to bend,sit, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Less than 10% travel
Preferred Certifications (a plus but not required):
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM)
- Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)
- Real Property Administrator (RPA)
- Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM)
Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
