SUMMARY OF POSITION
An "Area Operations Manager for Crude Trucking" is a mid-level management position responsible for overseeing all aspects of crude oil transportation operations within a specific geographic region, including managing truck drivers, dispatching, route planning, compliance with regulations, and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of crude oil to designated destinations. This is a remote position—candidate must live in the Denver, CO area. This candidate must have experience in the crude, oil and gas industry.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Fleet Management: Overseeing a fleet of trucks dedicated to crude oil transportation, including assigning drivers, monitoring vehicle maintenance, and coordinating repairs
- Driver Management: Ensuring drivers adhere to safety protocols, compliance regulations, and company policies, including performance reviews and training.
- Compliance Management: Monitoring and ensuring compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations regarding hazardous materials transportation, including DOT and environmental standards.
- Customer Service: Maintaining positive relationships with clients by coordinating deliveries, addressing concerns, and ensuring timely communication.
- Logistics Coordination: Collaborating with loading and unloading facilities, pipeline operators, and other stakeholders to streamline operations.
- Performance Analysis: Tracking key metrics such as on-time deliveries, fuel efficiency, utilizations, revenue per truck, and safety incidents to identify areas for improvement.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in crude oil transportation logistics.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of DOT regulations, hazardous materials handling procedures, and relevant environmental laws.
- Leadership skills: Ability to manage a team of drivers and communicate effectively to Customers and management.
- Problem-solving: Capability to quickly identify and resolve operational issues that may arise during transportation.
- Communication skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with drivers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
