Vivalon is a Marin-based non-profit serving the community for 70 years and has been recognized 8 times as a "Best Place's to Work in the North Bay. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities.

The ideal candidate will ensure our facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The Facilities Manager is responsible for the general maintenance and cleanliness of all of Vivalon’s owned and leased properties. This position will supervise the priorities and activities performed by Facilities staff members and facilities-related contractors organization-wide and includes oversight of policy and compliance enforcement, administrative management, strategic and organizational planning, operating efficiency, and interactive engagement with external stakeholders, customers, clients, and donors. The position works closely with the Chief Transportation, Facilities, and Safety Officer (CTFSO) to develop and implement strategies, monitor and manage results, build organizational and staff capacity, and ensure financial sustainability.

Responsibilities :

Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program for all facilities
Manage and supervise maintenance staff and contractors
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes
Develop and manage budgets for facility maintenance and repairs
Coordinate with other departments to ensure that facilities meet their needs
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs
Develop and implement energy conservation programs
Manage and maintain all equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
Ensure that all facilities are clean and well-maintained
Develop and implement emergency response plans

Requirements :

Minimum of five years of experience performing maintenance / janitorial tasks, with at least one year of supervision responsibilities.

Ability to perform custodial-related duties and maintenance tasks to a high standard.

Sufficient knowledge of various janitorial supplies, equipment, and methods

Ability to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds (occasionally up to 75 pounds with assistance).

Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively with others.

Ability to communicate effectively with employees and vendors.

Effective organizational and time management skills.

Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions in English.

Maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable.

Compensation and Benefits :

77k-87k annually (depending on experience)
