Vivalon is a Marin-based non-profit serving the community for 70 years and has been recognized 8 times as a "Best Place's to Work in the North Bay." We provide services to older adults and people with disabilities including helping this valuable population meet their crucial transportation needs. We also provide business transportation services, including shuttles and charters, and communications center services.
We are hiring a Transportation Operations Supervisor. This position reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for supervising the contract operations team with oversight of scheduling, dispatch, billing, and reporting. This includes ensuring driver labor provides adequate route coverage, service capacity, on-time pull-outs, and maximum efficiency. Additional duties include driver shift assignments for daily routes, extra board and on-call across all transportation services. The Operations Supervisor will also be responsible for reporting monthly revenue hour trends and identifying revenue hour variances with contract ceilings.
We are looking for someone with supervisory experience and skills in scheduling, dispatching, and reporting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, and database experience, is also needed. Transit industry experience is desired.
Requirements :
- 2-3 years of experience supervising and training employees.
- 3 years of related business experience (transit industry desired).
- Demonstrated experience working effectively with employees (transit industry desired).
- Strong team player and can work with multiple departments.
- Excellent oral and written skills.
- Ability to independently manage own time, practice effective organizational and prioritization skills, and utilize attention to detail to perform assigned duties with speed and accuracy.
- Expertise with standard office practices and procedures; principles and practices of record keeping and reporting; and administrative organization.
- Knowledge of applicable State and Federal work rules & regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Compensation and Benefits :
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
