Job Summary
The Front Desk plays a key role in ensuring smooth front-line operations. Responsibilities include welcoming patients, managing check-ins, scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and maintaining an organized and professional reception area. This position is essential in creating a positive first impression and supporting effective communication between patients and staff.
Job Responsibilities
• Greet and assist patients as they arrive, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
• Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, verifying and updating patient information
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, coordinating with healthcare providers to optimize appointment availability
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries, providing information or directing calls to the appropriate staff member
• Process patient payments, verify insurance information, and assist with billing inquiries
• Maintain organized patient records and ensure accuracy of data in electronic health records (EHR) system
• Coordinate with medical staff to prioritize and manage patient flow within the clinic
• Address and resolve patient concerns or issues promptly and professionally
• Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure smooth clinic operations
• Stay informed about changes in healthcare policies, insurance regulations, and clinic procedures
