We currently have an opportunity for a part-time Phlebotomist at our Pembroke Pines location.
Job Summary
The Phlebotomist will be responsible for performing blood draws, processing specimens, and ensuring the accurate handling of laboratory samples. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, a strong commitment to patient care, and the ability to work effectively in a clinical setting.
Job Responsibilities
• Greet patients and escort them to the laboratory rooms.
• Perform venipuncture to collect samples for laboratory testing.
• Explain procedures to patients, address any concerns, and provide reassurance to ensure a positive experience.
• Properly label, handle, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, adhering to established protocols for accuracy and integrity.
• Administer injections, vaccines, and other treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Enter patient information and treatment details into electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Assist with managing patient flow, and handling phone inquiries.
• Ensure continuity of care and maintain high standards of patient service.
• Monitor and manage clinical supplies and equipment, including maintaining inventory levels and ordering as needed.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of medical tools and laboratory room.
• Adhere to all healthcare regulations, including patient privacy and safety standards.
• Follow infection control procedures and safety guidelines to protect both patients and staff. Handle biohazardous materials appropriately.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and documentation.
