Cost Analyst

Job Title: Cost Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs), ensuring accuracy in material costs, labor, and overhead allocation.
• Perform in-depth cost analysis across numerous SKUs, identifying cost variances and trends.
• Evaluate cost fluctuations due to changes in raw materials, manufacturing processes, or supplier pricing.
• Prepare detailed cost reports and variance analyses, comparing standard vs. actual costs for management review.
• Support month-end closing activities, including cost roll-ups, reconciliations, and inventory valuation.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to establish and maintain cost standards.
• Conduct physical and cycle counts, reconciling inventory discrepancies.
• Assist in the development of pricing strategies by analyzing cost structures and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with cost accounting policies and internal controls.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of cost analysis or cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and complex formulas) and ERP systems.
• Experience working with BOMs, routers, work orders, and standard cost systems.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret large data sets and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and finance teams.
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple SKUs and cost components efficiently.

PAY TRANSPARENCY: The estimated annual pay range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 DOE. Actual compensation will be determined by the hiring authority based on qualifications and other relevant factors.
