Vivax-Metrotech develops and manufactures products for buried utility locating, fiber-optic cable locating, ferrous metal detection, coating analysis and performing ACVG surveys on cathodic protected pipes, finding sheath to ground faults on cables, inspecting the interior of pipes and ducts, and mapping of buried utilities.
Vivax-Metrotech products are backed by our worldwide network of trained distributors and service centers, offering our customers local sales, training, and high-quality service. Located in Santa Clara, California, in the heart of Silicon Valley, Vivax-Metrotech Corporation designs and manufactures buried utility locating instruments and video inspection equipment.
At Vivax-Metrotech we are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager for Southern America, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and market share within your region. You will manage the sales activities, develop distributor relationships, and achieve the annual sales target. This role requires a proactive, results-oriented candidate who can strategize, execute, and maintain strong relationships with key distributors.
Responsibilities:
• Support the Local Distributor with sales and product knowledge.
• Attending industry trade shows and meetings to represent Vivax Metrotech and the Local Distributors.
• Support customers with product training and technical support.
• Regularly track sales performance and adjust strategies as necessary to meet or exceed sales goals.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with Distributors and key stakeholders.
• Identify customer needs and ensure that the company’s products or services meet those needs effectively.
• Conduct market research to understand trends, competitor activities, and regional customer needs.
• Provide feedback to the President of Vivax Metrotech on market insights
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company’s products and their positioning in the market.
• Manage the regional sales budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to meet sales objectives.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and performance reports to the President of Vivax Metrotech.
• Monitor and control sales expenses in line with budget expectations.
• Lead negotiations with customers and assist the distributor with closing deals to achieve or exceed sales targets.
• Prepare regular sales reports outlining achievements, challenges, and action plans.
• Use sales data and customer feedback to refine sales tactics and strategies.
• Present progress and results for the senior leadership team monthly.
• Report periodically to the President of Vivax Metrotech.
Requirements:
• Knowledge of the Utility Locating Industry with 5-7 years being preferred.
• Experience within the Utility Industry is a must
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically and implement effective sales plans.
• The ability to work independently and be self-managed is a must.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Outlook, Teams, and Excel, is a must.
• Ability to analyze sales data and market trends.
• Travel Requirements: Travel extensively within Southern America to meet Distributors and Clients. (90% travel)
• For periodic training and meetings, the applicant must be able to travel to South America.
• Occasional lifting of packages, parcels, and equipment that may weigh as much as 75 pounds.
• Must live within the sales region.
• Proficiency in Spanish- Written and Verbal Communications
• Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license.
