Role Description

viveEV is looking for a dynamic and technically proficient Technical Sales Manager to lead our sales initiatives within the EV charging sector. This full-time, region-based role involves driving sales growth by leveraging technical expertise to develop client relationships, executing strategic sales plans, and collaborating closely with our engineering and product development teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of EV charging technologies and a proven track record in technical sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical advisor for clients, providing in-depth explanations of viveEV’s EV charging solutions, specifications, and integration capabilities.
  • Develop and execute technical sales strategies that align with viveEV's business objectives.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, product development, and marketing, to tailor solutions to meet the specific needs of CPOs, fleet operators, and enterprise clients.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry regulations (e.g., OCPP, NEVI standards, UL certification) and ensure product compliance when advising clients.
  • Prepare and present detailed technical proposals, including specifications, pricing, and timelines, to prospective clients.
  • Conduct market research to compare viveEV’s products with competitors, identifying technical advantages and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and insights to upper management.
  • Assist in negotiating and closing key deals to drive revenue growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related technical field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales, pre-sales engineering, or solution consulting within the EV charging, power electronics, or renewable energy industry .
  • Proven experience in technical sales management role, with a track record of driving team performance and achieving targets.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of the EV charging infrastructure, power distribution, and network integration is essential.
  • Familiarity with OCPP protocols, backend management systems (CSMS), and charger interoperability.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in managing key accounts, including CPOs, fleet operators and enterprise clients.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
  • Able to commute to our office in Southlake, Texas.
