What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at Vivian Vazquez?
We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of 2 maintenance technicians, oversee property maintenance, and ensure everything runs smoothly across multiple locations in the greater Los Angeles area. You’ll spend time inspecting properties, managing work orders, and providing leadership to your team. Plus, you’ll have a company vehicle to take home!
What you get to do:
- Supervise and guide 2 maintenance technicians to ensure quality and productivity.
- Inspect properties regularly, perform routine and emergency maintenance.
- Handle a variety of maintenance tasks like plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and more.
- Track work orders and materials in the system.
- Manage the budget, identify variances, and provide monthly updates.
- Oversee vendor work and participate in the bidding process for repairs.
- On-call for emergencies on a rotating schedule.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 5 years of experience supervising a maintenance team, or a degree in a related field.
- EPA certification for handling Freon.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with project and budget management.
- Ability to work with various trades and follow safety standards.
- Good driving record and the ability to pass a background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
