Medical Billing Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Billing Supervisor to support and manage the daily operations of our billing department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare facility billing, claims management, and staff leadership.

What you get to do:

• Lead and supervise a team of at least four billing employees, ensuring efficient and accurate daily operations.
• Oversee facility billing processes to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, reimbursement policies, and industry standards.
• Manage claims processing, including audits, appeals, and dispute resolution, ensuring optimized revenue cycle performance.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas) to analyze data, enhance financial reporting, and improve process accuracy.
• Work with billing software to process claims, track payments, and generate detailed reports.
• Conduct claims audits to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with payer policies.

What we are looking for:

• 1-5 years of experience in facility billing, claims management, and appeals handling.
• Proven experience supervising a team of at least four billing employees in a healthcare setting.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and formula functions.
• Strong knowledge of billing software and electronic claims processing systems.
• Experience with claims audits, insurance appeals, and dispute resolution.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Microsoft Excel: 3 years (Preferred)
• facility billing, claims management, and appeals handling: 1 year (Preferred)
• supervising a team of four in a healthcare setting: 2 years (Preferred)
