What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Clerk position at Vivian Vazquez?
We’re seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our team in a fast-paced environment. This role requires managing a complex payroll process involving 20 unions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, experienced with union payroll, and able to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic setting.
What you get to do:
- Attend kick-off and close-out meetings for payroll-related projects.
- Compile payroll data (hours worked, job numbers, taxes, insurance, union dues, etc.) from timesheets and records.
- Enter and process payroll data into computer systems, ensuring accuracy.
- Review wages, correct errors, and issue paychecks.
- Generate and distribute monthly union dues reports and payments.
- Provide certified payroll records to requesting agencies.
- Compile and upload compliance reports for agencies.
- Assist with various accounting duties as needed.
- Support additional projects as assigned.
What we are looking for:
- 3 years of payroll experience, including union payroll.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Sage 100 for Contractors.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of payroll law and hiring practices (on-the-job training may be available).

- This is a full-time, on-site position.
- Small dogs are present on-site.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
