What are the responsibilities and job description for the Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or (LSIT) position at Vivian Vazquez?
We’re looking for a skilled Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or a well-qualified Land Surveyor In-Training (LSIT) to join our team and support easement acquisition projects for public utilities. You'll work closely with the project manager to work writing metes & bounds legal descriptions in the state of California and utilize AutoCAD & Civil 3D.
What you get do:
- Prepare and review legal descriptions and plat maps for easement areas
- Write metes & bounds legal descriptions (experience must be in California)
- Collaborate with team members to analyze deeds, maps, and land records
- Interpret AutoCAD design files to produce legal descriptions and maps
- Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients
What we are looking for:
- 3 years of experience in legal descriptions and plat map preparation
- Proficiency in interpreting land title deeds and easement boundaries
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and legal description writing
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D for easement exhibit maps
- 2 years of experience in land surveying (office-based)
- California Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license (preferred, not required)

Pay: $74,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
