Scope
Works primarily in banquet rooms and off premise, assists with food and table prep before every event. May occasionally need to assist in Pioneer Grill restaurant. Offer superior customer service, ensures food safety, and maintains a clean and orderly dining and banquet room. Responsible for serving buffet or plated meals to customers quickly, efficiently and with complete knowledge of food and alcohol menus. Respond to guest requests as needed. Responsible for set up and cleanup of all banquet functions.
Education And Experience Required
Customer Service - Warmly greets and acknowledges guests upon arrival. Greet all customers with enthusiasm and friendliness. Answer customer questions about food, beverages, and our facilities accurately and in a friendly manner. Develop relationships with residents to know food preferences and increase efficiency. Provide the highest level of service in accordance with our standards. Maintain a professional appearance at all times. Ensure that guests have a positive and memorable experience.
Dining Services - Inform customers of daily specials. Present menus to customers and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request. Maintain full knowledge of menus, recipes, and other pertinent information. When asked, explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods. Accurately takes guest orders. Communicate with chefs and cooks to ensure customer satisfaction. Identify food orders when ready and delivers items to tables in a timely manner. Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. Correctly and precisely calculates each customer check or correctly records resident meal in point of sale system. Collect payments from customers and accurately processes payment.
Food Safety and Sanitation - Responsible for constant sanitation, organization, and proper food handling. Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area. Follow all safety and sanitation policies. Setup, Cleaning and Stocking - Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware. Remove dishes and glasses from tables. Clean dishes, equipment and work area according to established procedures and schedules. Clean tables after customers have finished dining. Keep all supplies stocked in serving areas such as coffee, tableware, linens, condiments, etc. Team Participation - As a member of the team, actively participate in team activities, meetings and processes. Promote team-building concepts. Maintains professional relationships with all coworkers. Assist in the orientation of new team members as assigned. Effectively collaborate with staff to promote the residents' total well-being. Act as an advocate for residents.
