Chemical Dependency Counselor II Bilingual (Spanish / English)
Job Summary :
Under direct supervision, render a range of assessment and intervention services. Provide consultation to outside agencies on client issues, assessments, and recommendations. Manage individual cases, such as clients transitioning from detox centers to residential treatment settings or outpatient services. Serve both male and female clients, including adults and adolescents.
Responsibilities :
- Provide diagnosis and treatment for clients within the program's scope, focusing on chemical dependency treatment.
- Conduct individual and family counseling sessions.
- Prepare written reports, regular case dictation, and summaries in line with program standards and professional ethics.
- Perform additional duties necessary to achieve program objectives.
- Advocate for program participants with courts, schools, treatment centers, and other services, making referrals and conducting follow-ups as needed.
- Offer outreach and case management to primary clients.
