Position: Strings Teaching Artist
Location: Sonoma, CA
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
Pay Rate: $70 per teaching hour/$40 per planning hour

Job Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Strings Teaching Artist to join our vibrant educational team. The successful candidate will have expertise in string instruments such as violin, viola, cello, and bass, and will be adept at managing a classroom of up to 20 students. Preference will be given to candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish. The position requires the ability to create engaging and impactful lessons and to foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students.
Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction in violin, viola, cello, and bass to students.
- Research latest developments in music education to craft and implement lesson plans that engage and inspire students.
- Maintain effective classroom management for a class size of up to 20 students.
- Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in violin, viola, cello, and bass.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Effective classroom management skills.
- Knowledge of educational tech tools to enhance classroom instruction.
- Ability to create and deliver impactful lessons.
- Dedication to fostering a positive learning environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior teaching experience is highly desirable.
Salary : $40 - $70
