We are currently looking to fill a Production Supervisor Position -
We are looking for individuals who are experienced and possess leadership and management knowledge. Experience with a Food Background and or Dairy Background very helpful
Summary of position:
This position manages all production activities. These activities include receiving raw and chemical inventory; maintenance of the raw and chemical warehouses; production of culture media and other processing aids; ensure items produced meet all food safety and quality standards; large-scale fermentation of bacterial cultures; centrifugation of bacterial cultures; and all cleaning and sanitation activities in the warehouse and production areas. This supervisor also supports operations in integrating new procedures and equipment, creating, and validating standard operating procedures and work instructions, and supporting departmental leads during other supervisors’ absences. This supervisor works closely with other supervisors in the processing, FD/PB blending, shipping, inventory, and maintenance departments training employees; enforcing safety and regulatory practices; and ensuring daily production goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
· Work with the front office, customer service, product line managers, and team leads.
· Coordinate with other departments to ensure product flow.
· Provide direction, instruction, and guidance to the team as a whole
· Be a role model for the department in attitude, work ethic, attendance, attention to detail, and adhering to all policies and procedures.
· Follow GMPs and maintain a safe work environment.
· Be a leader in departmental cleanliness/organization and ensure completion of Master Sanitation schedules.
· Ensure adherence to departmental and company SOP's.
· Work with administration to make changes to department policies and procedures as needed by the business.
· Distribute new or revised policies and procedures to employees through bulletins, meetings, memorandums, and/impersonal contact.
· Develop and maintain employee-training program.
· Maintain and update information, including cost analysis, production reports and opportunities for improvement as requested by Operations Manager.
· Maintain paperwork with organization and up to date
· Working knowledge of SAP/BMM system.
· Assist within all departments if needed
· Maintain a daily working relationship with employees, including job enrichment as well as leadership to ensure the task are completed daily (making work more satisfying for employees).
· Develop employee work schedule based on production timelines.
· Maintain and document activities as it relates to food safety & quality systems; report food safety concerns to management immediately.

· Able to lift/carry 70 pounds repeatedly
· Good computer skills & ability to multi-task
· Ability to work with little supervision while maintaining team oriented environment
· Ability to work in bending/standing positions for extended periods of time.
· Able to work in –30 degree temperatures for an extended amount of time.
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Experience in inventory management.
· Pass Drug Screen
· Clean Background Check
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
