Role Overview: You will be responsible for the efficient operation of our 618 centrifuge to produce a final product. This will include centrifuging the finished, fermented product from the tank, sending it to the appropriate holding vessel and cleaning/sanitizing of the equipment/environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a functional knowledge of how to use our centrifuge and other technical equipment
- Update and maintain accurate documentation and recording of measurements
- Assist in analyzing fermentations to be qualified as normal or abnormal
- Adapt to changes in culture fermentations and changes in parameters of centrifuge
- Adjust the pH of a product as necessary
- Learn and retain the knowledge of fermentation profiles for various cultures
- Bring forth good analytical, problem solving and decision making skills for troubleshooting
- Display safe operating procedures and practices Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Maintain Safe Quality Food (SQF) safety and actively report concerns to management
- Complete a master sanitation with thoroughness and accurate documentation
- Contribute as a team player for all of production including assisting other departments
- Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills as a key component in a team effort
- Maintain excellent detail orientation, consistently meeting pace for deadlines
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 years of similar experience in a production environment is valued, but not required
- Able to lift/carry up to 70 lbs
- Able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
- Able to work occasional overtime to accommodate changes in production plans
- Excellent time management and flexibility in order to execute daily production schedules
Expected Scheduling: Weekdays, 6am-2:30pm
