Summary of Position:
This position manages all company food safety & quality programs and coordinates with the quality control department and operations to fulfill company, audit, and customer requirements. This position is responsible for meeting all qualifications of third party audits, GMPs, HACCP, and other certifications for the company. In addition, this position must fulfill all quality documentation for clients and updates of digital information network systems upon request or deadlines. Other items include regulatory issues, internal auditing, loss tracking and remedy with technical resolution. Position works in close coordination with Department Managers to support compliance with SOP’s and GMP’s. Position assists in coordinating meetings regularly, continuous improvement opportunities, training requirements and participates on Food Safety Team and Crisis Management Team.

- Enforce standards, SOPs, GMPs, and regulatory compliance

Job Specifications:
· B.S. in Life Sciences or specific fields such as Microbiology, Food Science, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biology and related fields
· Technical experience in quality control, quality assurance, regulation, fermentation, biological sciences, audited quality and/or food safety programs
· Food industry and processing experience with significant quality control interface preferred
· SQF practitioner or other third party audit experience or certification
· Leadership experience
· High communication skills in all directions of management
· Familiar with Food, Dairy, USDA, FDA, or State Board of Health Certification preferred
· Ability to respond with a high sense of urgency
· Excellent time management and flexibility
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office - including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong ability to multitask in order to address different projects congruently
- Must exhibit professionalism
- Ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds
Expected Scheduling: Weekdays, 8am to 4:30pm
