Job Summary:
The Mid-Level Scrum Master will play a vital role in facilitating Agile practices within the DoD team. This position is essential for ensuring that Scrum teams operate efficiently and effectively, driving the successful delivery of AI-enabled applications and data analytics solutions that enhance decision-making capabilities across the Department of Defense (DoD).
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitation of Scrum Events: Organize and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews to ensure effective team collaboration and communication.
- Team Coaching: Mentor and coach team members on Agile principles and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Backlog Management: Assist Product Owners in managing the product backlog, ensuring that it is well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with project goals.
- Impediment Removal: Identify and address obstacles that may hinder the team's progress, facilitating solutions to enhance productivity.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and facilitate communication between stakeholders.
Skills/Qualifications Reqd
- Clearance Requirements: Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility
- Education: Bachelor’s degree plus 5-7 years of experience or a Master’s degree plus 3 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in Agile software development environments.
- Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies is preferred.
- Experience working in military or government environments is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, tools, and practices.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
