As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing our hardware, software, and network systems. You will provide high-level support to users and ensure our IT systems run smoothly and securely. This role is essential in supporting our manufacturing operations and office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
System Maintenance & Support
- Maintain and troubleshoot computers, printers, and legacy systems across both office and plant environments, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently.
- Provide support for software and hardware issues reported by users.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve hardware and software errors.
- Install and configure new software applications and hardware on the network, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance across the LAN/WAN
Network & Security Administration
- Manage network users and ensure security standards are met.
- Administer firewalls, backups, and antivirus software.
- Ensure the latest security protocols are applied across the network.
- Monitor and manage server performance and updates.
Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Administer Active Directory, virtual environments, and storage systems.
- Manage corporate email and oversee telecommunications/VoIP systems.
Process Improvement & Collaboration
- Monitor software/hardware performance and recommend user training to improve productivity.
- Participate in team meetings to provide insights and recommendations.
- Assist in gathering quotes for equipment and ensure compliance with software licenses.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience in a similar role
- Proficient in maintaining and troubleshooting PCs, software, and network systems.
- Knowledge of server administration, backup systems, firewalls, and security protocols.
- Experience managing telecommunications and VoIP systems.
- Proficiency with Active Directory, virtual environments, and storage management systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency in project management.
