Overview
Vizcom Contracting, LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Water Mitigation Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will oversee water mitigation projects, ensuring timely response, proper remediation, and top-quality service for our clients. You’ll work closely with project managers, homeowners, and field teams to assess damage, implement mitigation plans, and ensure all work complies with industry standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and perform water damage mitigation, including extraction, drying, and dehumidification.
- Assess water damage at job sites and develop mitigation plans in compliance with industry standards (IICRC).
- Manage and supervise field technicians to ensure efficient and effective mitigation processes.
- Use moisture meters, thermal imaging cameras, and other tools to monitor moisture levels and determine drying progress.
- Document all mitigation work, including before/after photos, moisture readings, and job site notes, using digital software.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies on all job sites.
- Coordinate with insurance adjusters, homeowners, and project managers to facilitate smooth claims processes.
- Train and mentor technicians on water mitigation techniques and best practices.
- Maintain and service mitigation equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
- Respond to emergency calls and be available for on-call rotations, including nights and weekends as needed.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in water mitigation or a related field, with leadership experience preferred.
- IICRC Certification in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) is required; additional certifications (ASD, AMRT) are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of industry best practices, drying techniques, and moisture detection equipment.
- Ability to supervise, train, and lead a team effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in using digital documentation and mitigation software (Encircle, Dash, or similar).
- Strong communication and customer service skills to interact with homeowners, adjusters, and field teams.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment (50 lbs) and work in challenging conditions, including confined spaces and high-humidity environments.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Willingness to work on-call shifts, including nights and weekends.

Pay: $25.53 - $27.10 per hour
