VP, Product Management Strategy Operations

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the internal product operations of Vizient’s product portfolio. You will focus on creating internal process rigor, cross-department communications, monitoring & measuring and designing standard processes to support product strategy & management functions across Vizient’s product portfolio. This leadership role combines deep product strategy expertise with operational acumen to ensure the successful launch, growth, and optimization of products, and will work cross-functionally with other business units including Sales, Product Marketing, Technology, and Product Delivery, to collectively ensure product operations support delivered on time, meet customer needs, and align with company goals.

Role Responsibilities:

• Continuously evaluate and improve product management processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce time-to-market, and improve product quality. This may involve streamlining procedures, adopting new tools, or revising operational models
• Ensure that product management operations remain agile and adaptable, allowing the team to pivot quickly in response to market shifts, customer demands, or internal organizational changes
• Streamline operational processes to improve product delivery and enhance the customer experience, including management of Vizient’s Product Operating Model (POM), budgetary management, defining and implementing core business process to support not only operational excellence, but also designing human-centric processes that empower staff to transform their day-to-day work
• Lead the development and implementation of the operational design to support product strategy, aligning product initiatives with business goals across the product portfolio
• Oversee the management and optimization of the product portfolio, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives
• Effectively communicate product strategy, goals, and progress to senior leadership, stakeholders, and teams across the organization
• Develop and manage the budget supporting the product management and operations functions

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a related field preferred (MBA, Engineering, data science or advanced degree preferred). Background as a software engineer is a plus.
• Proven experience in product management and strategy, with a track record of successful product launches.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of the digital platform industry and emerging trends.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $187,800.00 to $348,300.00.
