VIZIO is looking for a Manager, Specialty Ethics and Compliance to support our Compliance Team. The Manager, Specialty Ethics and Compliance will support the development, operation, and administration of VIZIO’s compliance programs related to hardware product safety compliance other internal compliance programs as assigned.
The Manager, Specialty Ethics and Compliance position is based in Irvine, California, and is expected to be in-office five days a week. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team of professionals within a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do:
- Operate the company’s product safety compliance program, including compliance with applicable laws including the Consumer Product Safety Act, California Safer Consumer Products Program, and other related international, federal, and state laws and regulations.
- Provide cross functional support to all teams who participate in the product safety compliance program, including but not limited to Customer Service, Products Hardware, Products Industrial Design, Product Quality Assurance, and Sustaining Engineering.
- Consult with legal counsel to ensure ongoing compliance, and update and implement changes to the compliance program based on changes in laws, rules, or regulations.
- Assist in all regulatory reporting requirements.
- Provide training on consumer product safety regulations, requirements, and best practices to cross functional teams.
- Create monthly and quarterly report metrics on compliance programs as assigned.
- Support other compliance activities as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Degrees in engineering or science preferred.
- 4 years of experience in a related role or field, with specific experience conducting or managing product safety programs for either a consumer electronics company or similarly situated company.
- Direct experience with and/or knowledge of CSPA, California Safer Products, and related laws, rules, and regulations required.
- Experience reviewing and analyzing product safety test reports, required. Experience with UL 62368-1, preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to successfully project manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume desk with varying responsibilities and obligations.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- A sense of humor and an ability to work well individually and as part of the team.
- Experience using SalesForce, JIRA, SharePoint, preferred.
- Experience using Excel and PowerPoint, required.
- An appreciation for consumer technology.

For California-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $96,000.00. The maximum salary for this position $186,000.00. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
