VIZIO’s Technology – Software and Services team is seeking a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to join their growing team. A successful candidate will contribute domain expertise and make high-impact individual contributions related to UI engine development and optimization. This position will not have direct reports and is an Individual contributor. We pride ourselves on being a collaborative team here at Vizio and to accomplish this, we are in office 5 days a week in our Dallas, TX office.
What You Will Do
- Work closely with cross-functional teams - product, hardware, software and cloud engineering in the design and development of new innovative TV products
- Empowering the engineers and dev leads in your teams to succeed by identifying how to measure success, and mentor them on how to achieve those goals
- Experience in HAL layer, notification system, IPC, multi-processing, multi-threading, debugging / core dump analysis.
- Highly proficient in C, C 11 / 14.
- Experience in Shell-Script, Makefile, git, bug tracking tools.
- Proactive in foreseeing issues and resolve it before it happens
- Ensuring teams have clear priorities
- Participating in architecture discussions and planning
- Providing technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members
- Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
